Summary: Beware this one-size-fits-all product 2009-11-12
Comment: Did not fit the person I bought it for (not even close) and is very difficult to return, which is understandable. You would think the manufacturer "Shock Doctor" might step in and offer some kind of credit, but they don't. You'll likely end up with a pricey piece of worthless Silicone gel. Since people with braces usually don't have a "standard" mouth shape (or they wouldn't be wearing braces) I have serious doubts about this product's legitimacy.
UPDATE: I have since discovered that the simplest solution for a person with braces is simply to get a ordinary mouthguard that you boil to fit. They cost as little as $1 and the boil method works fine, even with braces.)

Summary: Falls Short (and out of your mouth). 2009-10-07
Comment: I regrettably had to return the Shock Doctor for Braces due to the fact it would not stay on my braces or even in my mouth. I play soccer as a goalie and need to protect my braces and mouth so I purchased one of the only options for us adults (over 30) with braces. This item just did not work.
I am now purchasing the cheap boil and bites and every week I just boil them again and reshape them to fit my teeth. What a waste of money. Nice idea but a terrible product for me.

Comment: My son is 11 and while this does a good job of protecting, a hard bite easily slices through the guard. This really is no different from any other mouthpiece. I was a little surprised that it wasn't more sturdy.

Summary: Deffinetly a waste of money 2008-08-05
Comment: I was excited to find something that would work with my braces but this product did not work at all. It does not fit securely. I opened my mouth and it falls out. I tried to boil it and...you can't! There is nothing to bond it to your teeth! There is $15.00 down the drain. Save your money and buy a different that one because this is just a waste of money.
