the helmet is ah.. okay I suppose. Mass produced it needs a little filing and polishing to remove the machine marks. It would never pass for genuine or even a museum quality reproduction.

It had a Philips screw for the pivot. And it isn't battle ready but other than that it is good!

The helmet arrived covered in oil, presumably to keep it clean. It makes for a more difficult clean up on the receiving end, but though annoying, it's not the end of the world. What really made this disappointing was the Philips screws sticking 3/4 inch into the head space. How is this "fully wearable" or "faithful museum quality" as described? Also the visor and helmet ridges are lined up incorrectly so the visor does not lift up fully. I've contacted the seller twice and they just don't seem to care. They have offered ro replace it, but won't answer my questions as to whether I'll get the same issues on the replacement.

This is going to be sitting on a shelf on a stand, and as it looks really nice from the outside, we're probably going to keep it rather than go through the hassle of returning it. Especially since we seemlingly can't determine if the replacement will be any different anyway. But the functional quality and authenticness is seriously disappointing.
