This is a Custom made leather football helmet Researched and specified by fans and thru images researced from old football magazines to mimic old Auburn colors which wore this famous eight strapper-Navy Blue and orange leather football Helmet style during some of their early years approx 1939-1940s. The one pictured is made to mimic the Late 1930s-1940s Decade. Also , prior to the late 1930s Auburn also wore a plain Rust Cordovan Helmet in the days when the jersey was the only distinguishing factor. It also wore the Beehive helmet, Flat Top Helmet and Dogear Helmet pre -1920s styles (see these also on our site). They also wore some slight coloration variations of the above helmet too into the 30-40s .
